5 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 (14 ounce) can diced small tomatoes with green chile peppers
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 (19 ounce) can beef broth, divided
3 cups water
1 cup tomato paste
Brown beef with onion and peppers. Combine with vegetable broth, stirring until well blended. Drain grease from skillet. Season with crushed red pepper and tomato. Place half of beef mixture in skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until heated through.
Stir first 4 ingredients in slow cooker per pan/dish dish; stir in wine and tomato paste. Pour mixture over beef mixture, turning to coat. Cover; cook over low heat, stirring, until Beef mixture is coated. Cover. Pour over hot cooked rice and beans.
