1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 large green bell pepper, chopped
1 medium head cabbage, chopped
2 medium sweet red potatoes, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried basil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium saucepan, cook beef until brown on all sides. Stir in onion and green pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is browned. Drain browned beef.
Place cabbage in a large bowl and add water and sweet red potatoes. Add salt, basil, garlic and beef stock. Add water slowly, stirring constantly so that meat does not stick.
Sprinkle the beef with the cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Top with red potatoes and toss lightly. Cover spoon the beef mixture mixture over the cabbage mixture.
Cover and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until cabbage mixture is cooked down and browned.
