Bolognese Sauce [vegetable-baked recipe]

Ingredients

3 pounds brisket, cut into 1/2 inch cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1/2 cup dry white wine

3 (32 fluid ounce) bottles Italian-style red wine

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Melt butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the brisket until well browned, 5 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl and stir in garlic and wine. Return the mixture to heat and stir well. Pour into a 16-quart casserole dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the meat begins to rise.
