3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
3/4 cup boiling water
1 cup chocolate cake mix
2 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Heat oven to 350 F.
Mix together the confectioners' sugar and water. Stir cake mix and egg whites until blended. Deflate the batter, using a rubber spatula, so that it is no longer lopsided. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 22 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
Cut squares using a butter knife or round cookie cutting bit. Place a square on a serving platter and decorate with confectioners' sugar and vanilla.
