Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup margarine

2 eggs

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

6 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar

1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.

In a large saucepan, melt butter and margarine together over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in eggs. Mix in milk, vanilla extract, flour, baking soda, baking powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and confectioners' sugar. Mix well and pour mixture into prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

In the same saucepan, melt chocolate chips, stirring constantly so that they do not brown. Remove from heat and stir in unmelted chocolate chips. Add confectioners' sugar and whipped cream, mixing well. Mix until well blended. Spread over cooled cake. Chill in refrigerator.
