Tacky Rice Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast

1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 egg

1/3 cup white sugar

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch pan.

In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and butter. Stir together until well blended. When the mixture is moist, add egg, 1/3 cup sugar and oil. Beat for one minute and pour into the prepared pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted inches in the center comes out clean. Cool slightly before filling. If filling is too watery, add another egg.
