2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup butter, melted
3 tablespoons milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons white sugar for garnish
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9x13 inch pan with non-stick spray spray.
Place yeast in large bowl. Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Stir together the rest of the flour and baking powder; stir into the bread dough. Mix together sugar, nutmeg, salt and egg. Set aside
In a small bowl, mix butter, milk, oil and vanilla. Mix well.
Stir flour mixture into egg mixture, mix thoroughly. Stir in pecans. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. The crepe should be golden brown, and the center should be puffed.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with white sugar. Let cool on rack. Cut into squares; serve warm or cold.
