3 cups buttermilk
1 (14 ounce) can orange flavored Jell-O, chilled
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease muffin cups.
In a large bowl, beat buttermilk with an electric mixer attachment until smooth. Stir in gelatin and stir until foamy. Fill muffin liners with batter.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove muffins from oven and sprinkle with orange candy oil.
