2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
2 pounds turkey breast halves, cooked
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried sage
Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Fry Swiss cheese in oil until golden. Remove turkey from pan. Stir in salt, pepper, paprika, oregano and basil. Pour over casserole while still warm.
Cool overnight in pan. Remove foil from pan. Wrap turkey in foil and place in pan to cool. Cover lid tightly with aluminum foil. Cook in pan for 30 minutes or until turkey is no longer pink. Maintain heat in skillet. Remove foil from pan.
Remove foil from skillet and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 2 to 4 minutes, until turkey is no longer pink. Do not allow to brown, turning occasionally, over medium heat. Remove turkey from plastic wrap and cut into cubes. Crumble cheese over meat. Cover bottom of pan with foil and heat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Continue cooking about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove pan from heat.
Serve meat sandwiches over prepared casserole. Makes 1 sandwich.
