1 cup rolled oats
2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup butter milk
1 cup rolled oats
2 cups rolled brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup orange juice
2 teaspoons banana extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon butter or vegetable oil
1/4 cup brown sugar for decoration
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
Place oats in a large bowl of warm water. Mix together the brown sugar, brown sugar, oats and brown sugar and store in refrigerator. Beat together the egg, orange juice, banana and cinnamon. Stir together the oats, brown sugar mixture and orange juice.
Spread the oat mixture evenly over the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 15 to 19 minutes in the preheated oven, or until center of the cookie just begins to brown. Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares.
