8 slices white bread
2 (16 ounce) cans tomato paste
1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 tablespoon finely chopped green onions
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 (4 ounce) can black olives, drained
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix flour, cheese, tomato sauce and lettuce. Transfer to the baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, until heated through. Top with brown pie filling and green onions. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
Microwave the tomato sauce in microwave for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from microwave and pour over casserole. Spoon taco filling evenly over casserole.
In a medium bowl, combine tomato sauce, lettuce, black olives and taco filling. Refrigerate 15 minutes before serving. Garnish with cheese and serve immediately.
