2 tablespoons olive oil
2 (16 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/8 tsp salt
3 large ripe tomatoes, diced
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
In a large bowl, mix olive oil, spaghetti sauce and garlic. Cover bowl and refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to blend.
Meanwhile, in a separate medium bowl, brown the tomatoes, onion, oregano and onion soup mix. Stir in the cheese to the tomato mixture.
