2 cups water
2 cups distilled white vinegar
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon lemon zest
3/4 cup strawberries, sliced
In a small saucepan, bring water, vinegar and sugar to a boil. Stir in lemon zest, then remove from heat and mix well. Pour over pie, stirring by hand.
