4 cups cold water
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons lemon zest
In a medium saucepan, heat water to boil. Remove from heat and stir lemon juice and lemon zest into boiling water. Cover and let stand about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and serve hot.
