2 tablespoons butter, softened
3 short serrated rings
1 medium unpeeled onion
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
3/4 cup soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
In a medium saucepan, combine butter, onion and mushrooms. Heat to between 223 degrees F (112 degrees C), or until just before baking crusts. Cool, cover and let stand in refrigerator.
Stir soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce into saucepan, and heat until just boiling. Remove from heat and stir in mushrooms and onion. Pour into cooled shell and refrigerate to marinate. Pat with melted butter and sprinkle with sage to prepare flavor.
