1/3 cup barley oil
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup dry white wine
3 cups water
1/2 cup white sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 pinch salt
In a medium saucepan, we stir boiled barley into water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat. Let cool and puree in sugar, flour, and salt. Stir until just warm. Heat 1 tablespoon of pureed mixture into a small saucepan, and heat over low heat until practically boiling.
