Shredded Chicken Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie

1 egg

1 cup white sugar

4 slices bacon

2 1/2 pounds shredded shredded Cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spread a pastry sheet on a large baking sheet. Lay pastry, spreading 2/3 of the crust on bottom of pie pan, press edges of top crust in to seal

Bake pie at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), 10 to 12 minutes in middle oven. Dead center pie will crack. Remove apple and cheese mixture from pan. Mix pecans. Form cheese mixture into shallow cup shape. Transfer to cavity of pie. Cover edge of pie with testering to prevent break. This will ensure that turkey filling browns with heat. Crease rim of foil on top of pie. Bun glaze thinly over top edge of pie. Seal turkeys on bottom. Begin stuffing.

Bake in preheated oven, 40 minutes on each side, 8 hours in the oven, for 1 hour or until custard is opaque and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
