4 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups cranberry juice
1 1/2 cups water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cups golden raisins
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cranberry juice, water and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and stir in milk, lemon juice and sugar. Pour into glasses or pitcher, and serve at room temperature.
