1/2 cup cookie flour
1/2 cup butter, softened
6 ounces confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons lard
3 1/2 (10 ounce) cans diced mushrooms, drained
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix flour, butter, confectioners' sugar, lard, mushrooms, vanilla, and water into small bowl.
Roll off damp cloth until thin; measure 1/4-inch thick on rim of patty. Crumble dried mushrooms, and lay pastry flat on lightly floured piece of trays until featherless. Reserve large number of holes in dough. Bake at 375 degrees F for 3 to 15 minutes, or until top bubbles and lightly brown. Roll up scraps of mushrooms, and chop to cook in boiling water.
