3/4 cup lard
1 cup crushed garlic
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
In a medium bowl, melt lard, add garlic and salt, pepper and oregano and basil. Mix together and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Arrange chicken pieces on a large baking sheet. Sprinkle crumbled cornflakes all over chicken thighs, then pat halves dry with paper towels. Position chicken pieces on baking sheet.
Bake chicken at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 30 minutes.
