Egg White Pie VI Recipe

Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon egg

1 (1 ounce) package white sugar-flavored gelatin

1 3/4 cups milk

1 (3 ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix

2 cups crushed ice

1 (3 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix

1/2 cup butter flavored shortening

1/4 cup hot milk, divided

1/2 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Bake pie in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until caramelized.

Remove pie from oven and place on a wire rack. Allow to cool completely, removing core from pie.

Pour gelatin over pie. Pour milk into a separate small bowl and beat until thickened, about 1/4 cup. Stir gelatin mixture into melted milk.

Whip shortening until stiff, then add 1 cup milk and 1/2 cup sugar. Beat lightly. Spread pudding mixture into core of pie. Chill pie tightly in refrigerator.

While pie is chilling, stir together the vanilla extract and remaining 1/2 cup sugar until desired consistency is reached.
