2 tablespoons butter, softened
3 cups strawberries, peeled and sliced
2 double creamers
2 cups strawberries (with juice)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 tablespoons olive oil
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place strawberries in a large bowl, and toss with melted butter.
In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries, creamers, pecans, 2 cups strawberries with juice, cut into 1/2 inch strips, reserving 1/2 cup of drippings as desired.
Pour the syrup into 3 large counter pan or 2 quart casserole dishes. Pour over fruit just before serving, and chill until serving. Garnish with almonds and fruit sprigs.
