Cheese Bread II Recipe

Ingredients

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

2 hearts butter

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened currants, or coffee cherries, halved

1 (4 ounce) can frozen chopped spinach, thawed

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 ounce) loaf pans.

Pound cream cheese and 1/4 cup butter in a large mixer bowl and beat together until smooth. Mix in the currants and cook over medium heat until currants are bright green. Add the spinach and stir until coated.

Shape into a 2-inch loaf. Place on prepared baking sheets.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Breads should be cool. The extra 10 minutes of baking will encourage the crust to absorb the flavor of the milk. Serve warm.
