1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 egg
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
6 slices processed cheese food, cubed
Preheat the broiler.
Toss beef and garlic powder with salt, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, brown sugar, onion powder, black pepper and egg. Shape mixture into 6 patties; place on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes per side, or until burgers are well done. Broil at another 20 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar, onion powder, onion salt, pepper and egg. Spread mixture on the prepared broiled patties.
Broil at another 20 minutes, turning patties occasionally, until golden brown. Broil at a low heat, with a wire rack to prevent sticking. Serve hot.
