6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (2 ounce) can chopped fresh mushrooms, drained
2 tablespoons smoked bacon
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
2 teaspoons dried sage
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Blend the onion, garlic, mushrooms, bacon, butter, flour, celery, salt, oregano, basil, thyme, sage, salt and pepper.
Place chicken in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Drizzle with brown sugar, sprinkle with coarse salt.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour.
