1 cup all-purpose flour
14 jewels green French preserved eggs
2 cups white sugar
2 cups peeled and diced onion
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce mix
Place flour in a large bowl and stir in eggs, white sugar, onion and green French cheese, lemon, triple sec or a combination of the two juices. Mix gently, allowing the flour to separate. Roll into small balls and roll in brown sugar. Cut into 1-inch pieces. Allow to cool for storage
Sprinkle eggs with red pepper sauce and cut into small pieces. Dust with crushed white sugar and serve warm or cold.
