1 pound ground beef
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon minced garlic
5 tablespoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
salt and pepper to taste
1 large onion, sliced into 1/2 inch slices
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 pounds striped or cut Swiss cheese
1 pound shredded mozzarella cheese
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
In a medium bowl, mix the beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Mix well. Shape mixture into 5 beef patties
Preheat grill for high heat.
Place bread slices on picnic plate. Grill patties 5 minutes per side, or until no longer pink.
Remove bread slices and place on grill, partially uncovered, 1 to 2 minutes per side, until steak is no longer pink. Grill pitas 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until brown and cheese is melted.
