1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
1/3 cup white sugar
2 drops peppermint oil
1 cup toasted, chopped almonds
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup golden raisins
Prepare white cake mix as directed on the package. Add a tablespoon of sugar and oil (or milk) and mix until smooth. Let rest 5 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, stir together cake mix and 1/3 cup white sugar. Stir in the almonds, 1 cup of sugar, and raisins. Spread mixture evenly on waxed paper lined baking sheet.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool on wire rack.
