Rustic Cornbread Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups milk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon white sugar

1 stalk green onions, chopped

1 1/4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

5 tablespoons butter

Directions

Whisk together milk, flour, baking powder, salt, paprika, sugar and green onions. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour a loaf pans.

Place the flour mixture in the bottom of a greased 9 inch loaf pan. Layer the drippings over the top, then sprinkle with cheese. Spread the bread evenly over the cheese crust.

Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes. Let cool overnight before serving. Dust with butter before serving.
