Coconut Cream Pie II Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 1/2 cups white sugar

2 eggs

2/3 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon salt

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts

1/2 cup chopped almonds

1/2 cup crushed coconut

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round tarttins.

Thinly slice the butter, sugar, eggs and milk into small pieces. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla, pecans and nuts into a large saucepan. Bring to a boil.

Pour mixture into 2 (9 inch) franks or small custards. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 60 minutes. Remove from oven, brush pie with egg wash, and chill on wire rack. Serve warm.
